What makes us happier?

Yes, most of us are unhappy. Our life is very complicated and we feel lost. We feel alone and we do not sense that something may change that feeling for good in the near future.

But wait a minute.... Do you really think that happiness is something that only few people can achieve through their lives?

Let me ask you something:

Suppose you ask  a happy person, why is he happy. What do you think he will answer?

Do you think that he will give you a long complicated speech about what makes him happy and you will start wondering whether happiness is a reachable goal by the many? I don't think so. A happy person will most likely, give you a very simple answer. "I am happy in my life because my wife is a great person and we truly love each other". "I am happy because i have real close friends i can count on". "I am happy because my health is fine".

Truly happy people give very simple answers when asked why they are happy. They feel like that, because they have simplified their lives. They know very well that the most valuable things in life cannot be bought - they actually come for free! Feeling good does not have a price tag because you are not supposed to pay for it...

So how do you simplify your life? What do you have to do to get there?  How do you end up feeling good?

An ancient Greek saying is the best advice i can give you: "Know yourself".

If you truly get to know who you are and what you like to do, you will find your missing identity. Start by doing things you really feel you should go after even if your current friends don't encourage you to do so. Try to find people who share the same interests and get connected with them. By doing so, you create opportunities to establish new and real friendships. Read books about things you are curious about. Reading enables you to become smarter and start to get the "bigger picture of all things"." Getting the bigger picture"  will make you start appreciating what you have and stop focusing on what you haven't. It is only then, that you come to love yourself. In addition, you will be in a position to encourage and  help others to reach the same goal like you did. You will be able to "give" because you want to, not because you expect something in return. You will have beaten your misery for good!

Once you do that, the only thing left to do will be finding a soulmate to share that feeling.
