Last night I watched “Stand by me”, an old and beloved film which was produced back in 1986. The film is narrated by an author, Gordie Lachance, known as "The Writer", writing the memoir about his youth. It takes place at Castle Rock, an imaginary city at Oregon during the summer of 1959 and talks Gordie and his other three young classmates who have just finished sixth grade and make an attempt to find Ray Brower, an older boy who has been missing for few days and the police has been unable to find him. They know where to look because one of them, Vern, has overheard his older brother talking about finding the body and the younger boys decide to embark upon a journey to see if they can find it.
